A2V stands for Audio-to-Video, any sound signals will be translated to video signals. A very simple analog input circuit (2 capacitors and 2 resistors) connected to a PIC12F508 and 2 resistors for the output. Everything is done in software (assembly of course). Using a synthesizer, one can get nice standing wave animations and playing with filters and wave modifiers will move the image.
In the video on top, another PIC12F508 creates PWM-sound on a fixed frequency. In the later part (from 1:15 on) the sound runs through a simple 1 transistor filter envelope.
